Fuel line leak

Post by BNelsonAz »

I have a leak in the fuel line into the cold start valve. Can it be replaced? Do I have to change the rail? The two fittings on it are called high pressure fittings, but mine both had hose clamps on them.

Go to an auto parts store and buy 5/16" fuel hose FOR FUEL INJECTION. It HAS TO say 'FOR FUEL INJECTION' on it.
Also buy fuel injection type clamps and throw away those worm-gear type clamps. Here's what an FI clamp looks like, likely you can buy them at the auto parts store:

Simply remove the old hose, cut new one to size, slide clamps on and install. A little WD 40 may help sliding it on.

Be really careful with the nipple on the CSI. It is plastic and easily broken.
