Relay location?

Post by Chowdy »

Can someone point me toward to location of the dual relay location? I either can't find it or it is missing.

It's under the glove box on my '80 Fi as well, but mine has a cover panel. Have to take out two screws to drop the panel to access. The bell alarm for the seat belts is also under there.

Why do you want to know about the dual relay? What's wrong with your car? I've just gone through a situation with my car where what I thought was a dual relay problem turned out to be a failed fuel pump.

Well Bruce, I am working on getting this going for a friend of mine. The car was restored by a good friend who died a few years back and this car was built for his widow. I actually did the rebuild on the engine. He had the car in running condition at one time and then he decided he didn't like the looks of the dash wood, tore the dash and a few other things apart just before he pasted. I have since moved it into my garage earlier this past summer. Ran a bunch of diagnostics and have come to the conclusion that the injectors are plugged.
Fuel pump works, checked the signal at the injectors with a noid tester and passed. I just ordered some rebuilt injectors from Rockauto and waiting for them.
In the process of all this, I don't recall seeing the dual relay. I am sure the signals are there, but would like to lay eyes on it and double check.
