Top Latches - Angled In or Out?

My top isn't latching properly and I'm hoping to replace them today with a nicer pair. Wondering if they are to angle out towards window or in towards mirror. Surprisingly there are no photos online with the clarity to tell!

On my '82 the handle part of the latch is angled towards the side window.
