Does this part exist?

Post by 4uall »

I would like to purchase this as I feel it is a valuable tool to have. Anyone know where I can find one, or more importantly what it is called? :?

That said, the engine is very important to have.

I've always thought of it as a timing tool. Never actually saw one or know anyone else that has.
Wouldn't be too difficult to make if someone had a pattern.

My '82 FI spider has the timing mark bolted to the crankcase on the passenger side. So is this for an earlier spider?

cant see a lot of value to it as you cant put the timing belt on with this gizmo in place.

I know Zane has one, he might chime in, I think his handle is 70spider?
Anyway, I really see no need for this, the timing marks are quite clear.
Likely that tool was for the 1438cc engine, so it would not work on the other (taller) engines.
