No purchases for me of anything not existential (food, heating oil, etc.) Wife stricken with cancer, living on disability, business destroyed, house to be sold. But she ordered me NOT to sell the Spider. :?

RRoller, its nice to see a wife with good priorities. Sorry to hear about your situation. Does this mean you will post pix of you and the wife living out of the Fiat parked in a homeless camp.

Hahahahah! God bless her she is a wonderful woman. I think she recognized that, after selling off the camper and boat and some of the other accoutrements of modern life, it had to stop somewhere. So for now, money only goes into the Spider for safety related repairs. Once we simplify and downsize, things will get better. And her reports from Dana Farber have been pretty good lately, the tumors in her lungs are continually shrinking now for the past 6 months.

That's great news on the shrinking tumors. Hope it continue. Give her my best.

Rroller,
My deepest sympathies go out to you and your wife. I am not by nature a religous person, but I will say a pray for you. Have you set up one of those online donations sites like this one http://www.gofundme.com/Medical-Bill-Fundraising . I belong to scooter a forum and one of the members was badly injured in an accident, and they set up one of those, the outcry from the members was great we raised a bunch of money to help her get back on her feet again. I don't have much but if you set something up I would donate what I could. The Nardi steering wheel can be put on hold.
God bless Pesto

Thanks 70, the prayers are appreciated and have been pouring in from all corners of the earth for my wife! We will be fine, I just need to do some navigating through this. The Spider stays and the expenses get cut.

She was able to go to our son's home opener football game last night, and this was a big event. We weren't sure as of last Spring if she would be able to go, but all went very well. And damn do I love that Handicapped parking badge!
