What did you do on last full day of summer.
Cut the lawn, watered some grape plants and took the Fiat down to the lake for the last lake swim of the summer.
And my better half
We both had a cold can when we got out. About 25 deg C today
Another 6 weeks before the road insurance expires.

I shovelled a couple yards of dirt and seeded parts of the lawn that were in dire need. Also watched the Seahawks/Denver game.
Even though it was a beautiful day here, I wasn't able to take the Fiat out. Changing the dual relay didn't solve my hot starting issue and I didn't have time to get the car hot and disabled so that I could do further diagnostics.

Worked on my brake lines.. Discovered the PO implemented a unique form of brake proportioning.. But for me, this is the start of driving season! Cools off enough to drive her..

Not much Fiat work, but I rebuilt the leaky power steering pump on the '72 Benz and installed a second stock swaybar in parallel with the original one. Greatly reduced the amount of body roll.

Looks like a great day Chris! It was to rainy out here in the Ottawa Valley for any spirited drives. I took the truck to Manotick to watch the Singapore race with "the guys", then to Orleans for my son's birthday, then back home to fall asleep watching the Nascar race. I skipped an ugly wet track day at Calabogie but hope to be out there Friday night. We have a nice week coming up - maybe even Indian summer. Some good drives remain.

Changed the vertical and horizontal window felts. What a PIA. Did find the drivers side was missing the back window track but found it laying in the bottom of the door. No wonder the glass was flopping all around. Must have been a PO thing because there was no nuts or bolts in there to put it back on the bottom attachment point. I'm guessing they tried to do something and snapped the bolt off and gave up. Anyhow all fixed and much much quieter now. It took most of the day. Replaced the door jamb and trunk rubber while I was at it. It is amazing how much stuff is installed in a hack or slipshod way and you scratch your head and say .... Really

I installed a newly wrapped dash. You may notice that it is all one piece... No seams, yeah baby! Turned out incredible and looks better then new. Can't wait to finish the rest tomorrow night.

Took the morning to watch my grand daughter pitch in a softball tournament. Just started high school. Her fast ball was radared at 58 mph a few months ago. In the games she doesnt throw that hard but put lots of stuff on the ball. Also hit a couple of balls to the fence. Spent the rest of the day cleaning up after the Cul-de-sac party we throw each year. I was hoping to have time to retorque the head, but ran out of time. Did take the fiat out early Saturday morning.

Recovered from yesterday's 850 mile Fiat drive then RTVed some exhaust joints.

Hey Jim,
I wouldn't say easy but for anyone with patience and some "skill" it is doable. It's a pretty stretchy vinyl and conforms to curves fairly well with some heat when needed. It's got a great, soft feel that is so nice and better then the factory finish and feel to be honest and with not having that seem it looks factory fresh. I'm really happy how it turned out in the end!
