Is this right? The pilot bearing only goes about 1/4" into the crankshaft.

No, it should not stick out of the flywheel, it should be deeper than the outer surface of the FW.

Thanks. The replacement pilot bearing seems a lot tighter than the one I took off. So I wasn't sure if I should just keep wacking at it like a mad man. It went in a little below the flywheel. A slither under flush.
