79 power guess
I have a 79 spider, pulled the old carb and emissions gear, added a an 1800 single plane manifold and a weber 32/36 progressive carb. No header or exhaust work except for an ansa tail piece. What's a guess as to what kind of power this motor is making? It's such an improvement over stock! I've never seen a smoother 4 cyl.

And if people are guessing, how much for the same set up, but with a 1.8L head on the 2.0?

100 hp. 102 with the 1800 head
The 1800 head only bumps the compression about half a point.

Mine dyno'd at 35, but I've made a lot of changes since the previous owner who put it on a dyno. I wouldn't say I doubled power with the 1800 intake and new fuelpump/filters, but it has improved dramatically. My best guess is currently around 50-55.

Re: 79 power guess
That (55) seems really low. Stock they allegedly did 85-105 depending on the year. My 74 dyno'd at 85 last month (early 1800)

Re: 79 power guess
It all depends on the dyno where it was measured, there is a big difference between dynos. Also did they calculate wheel or flywheel hp? Like the upgraded 2000 likely makes 100 hp at the flywheel and about 80 at the rear wheels.
