Videos of my Poudre Canyon drive this morning

Post by focodave »

Thought I'd share some videos of my drive this morning up the Poudre Canyon, just Northwest of Fort Collins, CO.
Sorry for the music over-riding the engine sounds -- the wife likes her tunes while we cruise.
And -- sorry for the poor quality -- recorded it on my phone while trying to shift and hold on to the wheel!
We went about 60 miles up in to the canyon today.
The scenery is incredible all the way. Cache Le Poudre River runs very close to the road in most places.
Enjoy...

Looks like beautiful country!!
But Dave, you gotta do it again and hold the phone sideways for landscape. I really feel for you! Having to do that drive all over

I do have a suggestion to you and all phone videographers…turn the phone sideways when you shoot video! I spent 30 years in television broadcast and in the last decade we spent gobs of time and money making high definition wide screen pictures for the public and along comes the iPhone and people shoot vertical pictures. If we had an eye in our forehead it might just work! (Sorry for the rant, its a pet peeve of mine). Nice drive, 'would love to do it someday, if I can ever get my Fiat from living on jack stands.

Haha!
Thanks guys. I'll definitely re-do and turn the phone sideways next time.
I did not spend 30 years in TV broadcasting, but I can tell you how to make your avatar picture a lot clearer :P 8)

I can't promise this will work for you , but the way I did my avatar was to take a fairly high-resolution photo and open it with Microsoft Office 2010. I resized it, in Microsoft Office, to 120 X 90 pixels.
Then I uploaded the image to "Photobucket.com".
Photobucket allows you to select a URL specified as "IMG thumb".
I used that URL in the forum avatar designation screen in the user Control Panel.
The image looks pretty good for being down-sized so much.
Hope that works for you.
