Stopped at my local FIAT dealer today

Parked in a row of 500s, went back to the parts department. :? No factory support whatsoever. Not particularly surprising, but disappointing nonetheless.
Came back to find 2 salesmen and a saleswoman waiting in the heat to talk about the car.

Fiat hasn't supplied parts for the 124 Spider for 30 years, why would they start now?

I wasn't expecting much, so I wasn't disappointed. When Fiat left back in the 80s, they left a lot of owners high and dry as far as warranties, parts, etc. When they came back, I drove the 500, and the Abarth. And bought a Mini Cooper S. If our dealer starts carrying the new Alfas, then maybe they'll pique my interest.

I may misunderstand. did you take a 30 year old FIAT to a new FIAT dealer expecting work to be done on your car?

Just curious, why would the Alfa pique your interest any more than a Fiat? Unless I'm mistaken, Fiat SpA owns Alfa.
And,
Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and the better portion of Chrysler no? And that says nothing about Fiat Commercial... I would gladly drive a diesel Ducato Van to work every day, if it wasn't badged a Ram...

I like it!!
But, as you know, in the next two years I have to put 3 teenagers on the road and I think my 13 year old F-250 is going to have to stay a while.
My oldest is excited about the prospect of driving my truck to school
The kids are also watching and helping with my spider project and gearing up to restore the 77 for themselves.

If it is true that the new Miata will weigh in at 2200 pounds, I would be interested in seeing A 124 Sport version that looks like a spider...

I thought this picture was banned. Darn, I'm all for freedom of expression. Can we find another way to express thoughts surrounding Miata's.

Creative image but I don't think the FIAT crowd should have anything to do with income inequality.
