NOT A SPIDER TO BE SEEN

Post by JEEPER »

I am in ITALY and have seen a million FIAT'S but not a spider to be seen. We were in Venice for 10 days and now in Florence for the next 14. We have a big Mercedes Van to get the 4 of us and all our luggage from Venice to Florence. Now we turn it in Saturday and pick up A Fiat 5 door or comparable(whatever that means). You can find Tee shirts with pictures of what appers to be a Fiat 800's on them or scooters but that's about it. Not even a FIAT patch. The big thing here are FERRRARI stores. they are like the GAP or NIKE in the states. From here I come home on Sept 15th then return for 2 weeks in Rome starting Oct 12th, I may find a SPIDER there. I did see a strange roadster,It had MG badges on it, hub cap centers, bonnet and boot lid and center of steering wheel but, it was fairly new. I would guess by the styling early 2000. The badger didn’t look added so I have no idea what it was. The car was in a parking spot and loked like a daily driver not an ENTHUSIASTS car(dull black paint with a dirty worn interior).

The MG brand was bought by a Chinese car company and relaunched in the past couple of years. I've seen them when I travel to the UK.
