Just started on teardown of a '73 spider. Car is too far gone to be restored for road use but might make a nice roadster for track days. Never seen one of these apart so not sure what the frame is supposed to look like. The car was bent at some point and both upper rails got tears in the metal just above the shock towers, as it was being straightened (or maybe later through fatigue). If this project goes forward, the upper frame rails have to be replaced. Are these rails supposed to be straight - if so, I can fab - if not, are replacements available?. The shock towers are also shot but instead of replacing them, I want to convert to coilovers - a design project for later.
