It seems to me like my Aux Cam Pulley is opposite what is in the book, and what I see in other folks post. Here's what it is in the parts breakdown:
You can see the lip on the outside, which makes sense for belt retention.
Here's what mine looks like:
You can see where the race that mates with the Aux Camshaft is on the same side as the lip, putting it on the engine side.
If I just turn it around, the pulley doesn't line up with the other timing belt pulleys.
Any Ideas?
Your help, as always, is much appreciated.

It's different on different years. Put it back the way it was.

Re: Aux Cam Pulley reversed?
I've never seen an aux pulley with the guide on the rear. Maybe somebody mixed up the aux and intake pulleys

Re: Aux Cam Pulley reversed?
Engines with no guides on the cam pulleys had the aux pulley with a guide on the rear, as it was the only thing keeping the belt from walking toward the back.

And that's exactly what I have, no guides on the cam pulleys. I guess that answers it. Thanks, Vandor!vandor wrote:Engines with no guides on the cam pulleys had the aux pulley with a guide on the rear, as it was the only thing keeping the belt from walking toward the back.
