Hi Guys,
At the start of summer, on a visit to Portland, I found an inexpensive fuel pressure test kit at Harbor Freight. The neighbourhood the store was in was suffering a blackout, so I failed to notice the bit in the left hand corner about not being suitable for a Bosch FI system.
So my questions are:
1. Do you know why this tester can't be used on a Bosch FI system?
2. Is it simply the t-connector or the hoses that are incompatible? Or is it something more sinister?
3. Has anyone else used this same tester kit on their FI Spider?
Thanks, guys.

Re: Fuel Injection Tester
Sort of a hijack...
Go to the hardware store and buy a $5, 100 psi water pressure gauge. Go to the fittings section and buy fittings for it so it has a 5/16" barbed fitting on the end. Total ~$10
When needing to measure fuel pressure undo the hose that goes to the cold start injector and clamp the gauge with the barbed fitting into it.

Re: Fuel Injection Tester
KidDingo, I think they mean that the fittings won't fit. You can get the fittings at a hardware store and make it work. PepBoys has a good selection of 5/16. Just be very careful with the CSI, the barb is plastic and easily broken. When pulling the hose there at the CSI , wrap it completely and well in a throw-away towel, it will want to spray fuel momentarily everywhere when you pull it off. (Or depressurize the FI system, but this is not really necessary Pulling the gas tank cap does NOT depressurize the system). It got me by surprise once, glad I was wearing glasses. Disconnect the battery before doing any of this.
