Scott and crew got a lot done today, I think you will see why I went with black. There are several base coats each one was wet sanded using 800 grit. There will be a total of 4 clear coats.

Scott's son working on taping, this is the seal coat.

This is the base coat

Ok......this is the reward!! Bare in mind this is the first clear coat!

Note the wheel arch reflection

I am hoping that the feet belong to Scott's girlfriend?!?

WOW is right!!
Pat, I have some bright orange traffic cones I can send you. You'll want to keep them in the trunk and park diagonally in two spots... Then post a cone at each corner!!

Can't wait to see it together!!

Here are some real close to finished paint pictures, not including the front cowling which we are customizing.

Engine bay, note the cross member reflection off the firewall.

Image

Trunk...if you look you can see the back of the rear panel in the front wall of the trunk...note the holes for the bumper shocks it looks like the extend to the back of the trunk!!(look above the fuel lines)

Image

One LOCAR light set in the opening...not fully inserted but does show how the stainless will really pop with the paint!

Image

Remember I said the paint was nearing completion.....well it was until Scott found a piece of sand in a 1/4 panel and decided that the best way to fix it was to redo the entire back of the car!

Image

Image

Ready for clear

Image

Done..........for now!! Perfection........I will kill the first bird that even looks like it is going to fly over the car!

Very impressive! Makes you want to mirror a wall in the garage and just spend afternoons decompressing in your car away from all distractions. :)

Paint is fantastic. Nothing like a scratch free paint. Just think, it will never look this good again.
