Pulled the trigger...amidst cooling system woes with my spider and exhaust system woes(resolved0 with my 128 wagon. But I've really wanted one of these for a while and it came with 14" BWA wheels, a fresh 1800 and a good price.

Re: Who's a glutton for punishment?
Thanks, i havent seen it in person yet...seller seems to be very knowledgeable Fiat guy. He bought his first X at 17! I can't wait to see his collection, i think it's going to be amazing!
He says it's virtually rust free (couple small cosmetic areas). Solid floors, shock towers etc. Needs a real paint job. Was originally French Blue, I greatly prefer red. I might actually do a strip down to bare metal resto on this one which will be my first such attempt. My wife does not want to learn to drive stick but she says if i put an auto in it she'll be happy to drive it. I'd love to be an all (vintage) Fiat family but I'm not sure about the auto thing...

Re: Who's a glutton for punishment?
George, our first Fiat was the same coupe in the French Blue (probably the final "buy this!" point of our current spider). This really looks nice! Never an extra garage bay around when I need one.....

Re: Who's a glutton for punishment?
Color me JEALOUS!
Of your complete interior, nice body work and paint!
I'm still cutting rust out of mine.
Though it does run like what my dad used to call a "scalded ass ape".
I need to get another driver so I can do a side by side comparison of this 1600 Coupe to my 1800 dual IDF 40 Spider.
And again Mark, I'm very happy with our transaction. I just can't wait until I have the body and paint finished.

Nice one George!!
I'm sure it will be a fun project!! Throw the wife a bone and keep her interested, I'm sure you can find an auto trans for it and end up with a spare...
I know it would pay off very well with my wife!!
