Were the wooden shift knobs factory equipment?

Hey guys just wanted to know whether or not the wooden shift knob on my 76 124 was an original piece from the factory? It's the one with fiat spelled out in white with the red background and the silver wreath around it

My 1985.5 came with wooden shift knob with no markings of any kind on it.

Later cars came with wood. Early had black balls.

Ok so according to that mine is a factory shift knob but not the original one that came with the car is that right? Mine is a 76

I don't remember whether my '76 had a plastic knob or a walnut (colored) round wood knob, but my '80, and now this '82 both have/had the round walnut. My '80 had the shift pattern on the rondel, my '82 has the FIAT logo, the shift pattern is on a plate below the ashtray.

Well I really like the look of the wooden one vs the black one so I don't guess it matters haha but anyways thanks for the replies!

No to be pedantic (but I'm about to be) but that refers to Spiders specifically not 124s in general. 124 coupes (AFAIK - I can only comment on Euro/Aus/NZ spec cars) only ever had the plain black ball and they stopped at the end of 75. I'm not sure (not having owned all variants) but I'm reasonably confident that the 124 sedan/wagon also only had the plain black ball.

The blacks balls that I have or have seen have a four speed or a five speed shift pattern depending on the car.
