Hello,
1981 FI
Noticed after a couple minutes of idle smoke starts coming from Y pipe of exhaust just below the manifold (just before the exhaust goes horizontal towards the rear of vehicle). Assuming oil but not sure where to start in diagnosing. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

Teh two upper studs forbthe exhaust manifold go through to an oil gallery. Removing them and replacing them with some thread sealant will fix it. This is a common problem.

Could also be the distributor oil seal leaking. Easy to check, feel for oil on the underside of the distributor.
