Re: pressurized gas tank
It should not be pressurized. I recently had this issue with my 78. I found a ton of greasy crud had accumulated in the 3-1/2 foot long CAVIS hose that runs from the 3 into one fuel separator to the check valve above the rear axle and completely clogged it in addition to the check valve as well. I pulled out the hose, soaked it with brake cleaner and worked all the crap out of it and replaced the check valve. The tank breathes very nicely now with zero pressure buildup.

One other note. You can purchase cheap fuel line check valves on eBay for less than $5 shipped and they work perfectly on the Fiat vent and fuel lines: http://www.ebay.com/itm/8mm-5-16-Fuel-H ... 58&vxp=mtr
They come in 4 sizes, 6-12mm. You'll want to use the 8mm valve on your vent line.
