83 making a noise when rpms are climbing (or falling to some degree), but not so much at a steady rpm. In the video you have to ignore the tappet noise, but you can hear what I'm talking about. Actually sounds much worse in person. Stethescope shows it coming from the rear half of the engine, but I can't pin point it. oil pressure on dash gauge shows very low, almost zero at idle when hot.Maybe about 20lbs at speed. I've been told that it's not uncommon to read like that, and also been told otherwise. Any ideas?

A mechanic friend suggested pulling off plug wires one at a time to see if it makes a difference in the noise. Said it may help rule in/out conrod bearings. I did so, and pulling plug wires off makes no difference to the noise whatsoever.
Also, the car performs normally with the expected power and feel.

It's distributor. Need either to get new rotors or caps. Also electronic cleaner would help. Sandpaper the contacts, you see it gets less noisy.

my humble opinion.. I could be wrong,
All I need in life is something to eat, something to do and something to love.
