Finally found a 1608 for sale locally. Still need to tune the DFEV and timing but 5 hours to swap it and
made it home. Have to admit, it is faster and runs meaner than the 2000 motor that
was in it. Need to trim the wires and clean up the mess in engine bay.

Did you already have that header or did it come with the 1608?

Blue thing is my racing water reservoir bottle.
The header I already had, I think they are Mark Allison's. So the 125 engine (1608) can take an 1800 intake manifold and mark's exhaust header.
The difference between the 1608 and 2000 motors are: Alternator on passenger side Height of block, radiator hose hookups, and thermostats on the head. I also had to use the shorter bolts from the fan pulley of the 2000 block, due to my preference for electric fan.
