Wondering are our driveshafts hollow and are they suppose to rattle when shook? I have a 78 spider many thanks

Yes they are hollow and no they should not rattle. Is the rattle from in side the drive shaft?

Yes inside thats what im suspect my vibration is coming from

hollow for sure, if that puppy was solid it would take a forklift to move it

Is there any visible damage? Dented? Bad u-joints and rotted rubber in the carrier bearing are the typical causes of vibration but if is damaged it will likely be out of balance.

im in the process of rebuilding it i will rebalance after im done and go from there
