leaky AAV case

My car would not idle while cold because the AAV case was loose and leaking. Meaning that the round end cover was loose where attached to the main body. There are some pins that go thru the round cover and then seem to be flared to keep it snug. It's as if my pins have stretched over time. I clamped the cover tight with a C clamp, and then drifted the pins a bit with a punch and it is much improved. But the real solution would be to replace the pins. Too small for bolts or rivets, so what can be used?
