Car won't shut off.

I have seen a thread or two over the years concerning this issue, and I have had it myself from time to time on my 83.
What happens is sometimes when you remove the key, the ignition remains energized and the car continues to run.
Today I have found a relay that I think is the issue. It's on the relay shelf under the pass side dash. As I was working on another issue up under there I experienced the problem where the car failed to shut off. I lightly tapped all the relays and found one that when hit, it shut the car down. I hope to replace it. Having to stall the car in gear gets old.

Clearly, the car wants to keep playing. Longer drives are in order.

Like children you have to get them tired until they go to sleep.

I have the same issue. Read somewhere that a diode needs to be installed somewhere. I'll see if I can find it.
