i got hold a used pair of 4 pot Hi spec calipers so this is the next area i've been working on. I made a wooden mock up of the suspension set up to help me see if this monster will fit. To start with i've used Fiat Uno Turbo brake disk which is readily available here and it's a vented 240mm version. As you can see it all fits nicely in my 15 inch wheel but the inside edge of the caliper just misses the inner profile of the alloy wheel. Even with a 15mm spacer. Next attempt is with a Lancia Integrale 284mm disk.

the bigger Lancia disk is the way to go. clearance all round and with suspension loaded and at full turns all looks good. Next job is to design and make a proper bracket.
If anyone is interested in a pair of 240mm Uno disks let me know....

slow progress lately, but a few parts arrived from powder coating, and had these fitted to the car.

Also dash and instruments all fitted. That was a pain job! Also had a go at fitting chrome bazels

my center dash panel has started to show signs of distress, with chrome peeling off, and the cost of replacement is....rather high for a bit of plastic. I've just done a cad model to see if machining out of aluminium might be a bit cheaper...

Woo Solidworks! :D I've been toying this idea also, but figured the cost of the billet material alone would be pretty high. 3D printing could be another option, you can print in aluminium or even bronze now! Last resort was to use some vinyl wrap and recover the original plastic one, but I'm not overly confident it would look too good
