Fiat 1100 D

Post by KalamazooJohnny »

I have found this site very helpful, interesting and entertaining over the years as I have went through several spiders. I just recently picked up an 1100 D from Tom up in Grand Rapids, MI and it is a really cool car, just wish I could find a site like this with info on those cars also. I have seen a couple from overseas, but nothing like this one. Does anyone else in the U.S. own these cars?

Sweet find Johnny! I have a 1959 1100 103D, the last of the suicide doors and I simply adore it.
I'm yet to come across a forum where I don't have to use translator to chat about the 1100's, a bit frustrating at times but I make do. Like divace73 mentions there are a few of us down under with them and a couple over in NZ, we tend to get out of trouble by using the T124 forum Millecento section. http://turbo124.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=26

Post up a pic or two in this thread and start something.

That's right djape, a real babe of a car too.. The first post is the link to Leno's 1100, the blue 1100 further down in the link is mine.

My first Fiat Experience was in 1970 with a friends '66 1100D, 4 "on the tree". What a cool car! Because of that car, I bought a '71 128. The 1100D was problematic so my friend traded it in on a 128. Another friend bought a '74 124 Special that I wound up with and still have, along with a '76 Spider. It's funny how we get hooked on Fiats !
