Rack and Pinion Crossmember

Post by sandro »

All,

i am looking for some help..I have managed to locate a 85.5 rack and pinion crossmember but when fitting this to the body there is large gaps on one side and i need to put about 6mm of spacers to make it fit correctly. The crossmember has the original 5mm spacer in place so what i need to do is add another 5-6mm more to make it fit nicely. I have noticed on the side where the additional spacer is welded in place there has been some damage twisting the top part that may related to the extra spacing needed, does anyone have one of these crossmembers that i can ask for some measurments to be made? or even better a drawing..although i believe this does not exist.

any help is appreciated.

It's not clear from your write-up what you're looking for. If you're looking for 85.5 cross member measurements I can't help, but if you're looking for body measurements then let me know what measurements you need and I'll go out tonight and try to make them.
