Pic of the embroidery machine going. This thing is like a thread printer. totally awesome. Imagine the possibilities with custom carpet even custom door panels.

Very nice! A coworker has one too. She said if you have the proper graphics file for the sewing machines it is really easy to embroider just about anything that the sewing machine can handle. I asked here about a simple logo and she said it would run about $3 to embroider it due to the amount of thread it would use. Technology is amazing!

I was able to download 2 .jpgs from google. edited them in MS paint. Then the Singer software "Digitizes" the image. Basically the digitized image includes instructions for stitching patterns and colors that the sewing machine can use. All in all, preparing the image took about 5 minutes. It has 1 needle and you have to change thread after it finishes each color step.

This particular pattern had 101000 stitches and took about 4 hours. (i ran the machine slow to make sure it did it correctly). Hardest part was handling all the excess fabric that the coveralls had - because the machine had to drag it all with it.

I want the Pininfarina Logo on the door panels. I think this will handle it.

That was my question, what thickness of material will the machine stitch? I would love to put Fiat emblems on my seat backs.

I'll let you know when I recover the door panels and test it out the vinyl. That should be very similar material.
