1800 intake swap on 2L

Post by beachspider »

Hopefully going to finally install 1800 intake under 32/36 on my 2L. Bought an intake from a vendor some time ago who said would work on my car but I note that it is from a 131 and does not have a hole to accommodate the water hose coming out of the block. See pics below. Can I use this intake manifold or do I need something else?

you won't need the water tube for a 32/36. That carb should have an electric choke. You'll need to cap the other water tube that comes off the heater pipe. Or you can replace that pipe with the stainless replacement pipe I offer that doesn't have the nipple

Thanks, Mark. Yes, carb has electric choke so don't need it. Just wasn't sure if the manifold gasket would seal that opening up. Am I right in assuming it will so I can just remove the rubber hose and the manifold will work?
