The 500 PE is car # 277 We ordered that # because we have an 81LE same #. The LE is pretty ruff shape and not on the road. We gave it to my grandson so he and I could have a project. Maybe some day it will be on the road.

We only have about 200 miles on the 500L and love it so far. Everyone who has driven it is impressed with the handling and comfort. I have a hard time believing it is the same engine as the 500PE with just a turbo charger. Car has plenty of get up and go. Has lots of electronics that we have to get use to. The GPS is very similar to our portable Garmin. This is our first exposure to a back up camera and I need to get use to that.
Haven't tried the blue tooth or entertainment stuff yet.

Nice stable. Between our son and DIL, we had 7 FIATS in the family until just last week, including PE cars 20 and 273. But our son and DIL (now 7 months along the way) just moved to Houston, and had to sell car 272 to make way for a car with enough rear seat room to easily handle a baby seat. Their other car is an ABARTH - so it was a necessary but painful decision for them to sell #273, which was our DIL every day driver. They are looking a the 500L for a replacement.

I have had two rental 500Ls and really enjoyed them. In both instance, I had the chance to drive them over 250 miles, cruising on the highway and in traffic. It seems like a really nice car, and the interior space is really phenomena.

They are staying with us for a week waiting for their house to close, so right now we have 6 FIATS at the house!

Sounds like we could be brothers.

My daughter & son in law have an 81 that he drives on weekends and sometimes to work. My son has an 80 we are building, the car is at body shop primed and ready for paint. Just need him and daughter in law to settle on color. I have another 81 that my wife wanted until we got the 500PE. Then there is an 82 complete car than no one in the family has claimed yet. LOL
We have 8 grand kids and 4 of them are driving so one of them may lay claim to it.

We are planing to take the 500PE to Freak-out this year. Will Visit family in MI. Then Mackinaw Island for 3 days then Freak-out. Then we are going to the Finger Lakes in NY for a few day. Should arrive back in CT on July 18th.

Isn't life good
