I don't know what year they came out but my 78 parts car had one that I used on my Holley carb instead of cutting up my original.

Now it did have a front impact in 1984 when it was one of my dad's customers cars, so the panel may have been replaced
However I've just looked at the pics of other 73 car and the front panels are the same as mine, wider support and ridges on front panel
Who know's, my dad had over 100 differnet spiders though his workshop and was always saying that parts seemed not to follow year models. Italian work practices in the 70's left a lot to be desired. Lots of strikes and suppliers would stop sending goods so they would use old stock or a different supplier
