I just replaced my cracked and bent clutch pedal, cable, and cable return spring. I want to know if I can drive safely without the pedal return spring. (I've driven around and it seems like it works fine) Will this cause any undue wear and tear, or will I be fine?
Thanks,
Michael.
Clutch Pedal Return Spring
Re: Clutch Pedal Return Spring
I have been driving without my spring for 6 years now and I don't miss it.
Re: Clutch Pedal Return Spring
Okay that's awesome, because I was nervous about trying to get that spring back on there!

Re: Clutch Pedal Return Spring
I have a long, thin Craftsman screwdriver still bent from my last clutch return spring install on my 71 coupe back in 1978. I've been too embarrassed to take it back and get a new one under warranty. I don't blame you a bit for going without the spring.
