I am looking a good repair manual. I currently have a Haynes but is vague and does not cover everything. Any suggestions?

What year is your car? For newer cars the shop manual available from a number of sources (including IAP) is very good.

Mine is a '78.

The shop manual covers 75 and on. You can find it on-line, but the pictures in the on-line versions are hard to see. I have the hard copy from IAP and it is infinitely more readable.

I found it to be well worth spending the money.
