The mounting bracket for the ignition switch is damaged. The PO had lost the key so I assume wanted to take out the ignition swich to get another key made. He did not know how to remove the switch so cut the mounting bracket and then forced it open for removal.
Is this mounting braket hard to remove and replace? What are my options?

Re: Ignition mounting bracket
It will be some work grinding that out of there and welding a new one in the right place. I would shop for a new or used section before i would mess with that one. taking the column apart isnt too hard. just keep track of all the components in the tube and which way they do in. I've got pictures of the section taken apart. let me know if you want it.

Thanks Russ.
I think my next post will be in used parts looking for an upper steering column . Good to hear from you and I am enjoying your posts.
