steering hub questions

Post by btoran »

i asked most of these questions in the steering wheel advice thread, but thought i'd post it here as it may help others find the info quicker in the future.

1. what steering hub bolt pattern did the early spiders use?
2. what year did the bolt pattern change to the 6 bolt momo pattern?
3. did early year fiat x19s and fiat spiders share the same bolt pattern?

and the $64,000 question...

4. does anyone know of a reasonably priced hub (<$75) that a) fits our spiders and b) has the nardi 6 bolt pattern?

Early Spiders and X's did not have a separate hub, thus no bolt pattern. They went to a separate hub in 1979.

Our hub has both patterns:

Yes - I'm 99% sure, but now you made me doubt myself :-)
I'll have to check.
