Funny how it changes into a Jensen Healey after he buys it.

I noticed that too. I think the editors were not familiar with either car.

The values are much higher in Canada. Being a sought after '71 a buyer could easily pay $12,000 for that car if it's as good as it looks. The American counterparts are a dime a dozen due to a higher population of the brand. If you think Canadian prices are exhorbitant check out the prices in Germany where they sell for the same price but in euros.

A 71 with big bump hood. Hmmm. What else was swapped. Could a spider really get 12k reliably in canada?

Re: Restoration Garage S01E05
I was unaware of this Fiat Spider episode - in fact, I was unaware of this show until yesterday, when I recorded Season 2 Episode 2.
For those who have not yet seen S2E2, it is well worth checking out. While it does not deal with a Spider, one is seen briefly sitting outside The Guild's shop. The portion of the episode that is of interest to us is the host's trip to Turin, Italy to find a rare part for an Alfa.
In a very obviously "cooked," scripted segment ("reality" show - ha!), Grainger has a young Italian drive him to appointments in a classic Fiat 500. In the course of his travels, he visits Pininfarina's headquarters and talks to the chairman who shows off some Pininfarina classics (not including the Spider, though). It's cool to see the Pinin badge that our Spiders carry in gigantic form on the side of the building.
But the best part is this: They take the 500 to Fiat's Lingotto plant and drive around the rooftop track where many (most?) of our Spiders drove their first mile!

I think i caught a chunk of that last night. The part where the 2 of them were on the side of the road staring into the engine bay and fiddling with the fuel filter.

Re: Restoration Garage S01E05
I found the show (awesome and somewhat local ) and went to visit them last summer. Sadly they had some staff changes (if you know what I mean) so I was not able to get any details about the end result of the Fiat
