This morning I realized I am addicted.

My first Spider - photo taken in 1981 (sold in 1985 when my daughter was born)

My second Spider - first photo taken in 2000...second photo taken in 2013 (restored it and still own and drive it)

Are you married?

Yeah, you got it bad!

Nice bunch of Spiders you have, or had, there. I'm not sure I would want multiple Spiders because I have enough problems keeping one going and getting it where I want it to be. They are great though, beautiful to look at and a real blast to drive.

Your silver Spider looks very nice and complete. What are your plans for the other two in the garage?

I am married and my wife supports my projects - she just said this morning that I should buy a shop and restore them in retirement. Maybe she is trying to clear out the garage and get rid of me. Ha, ha.

Thanks for the compliments.

- The silver one is my baby. I drive it to work most of the time and it is complete.
- I have the head off of the blue one and will soon pull the motor and replace all the gaskets and seals, freeze plugs, inspect everything, rebuild the carb, and reinstall it. I have cleaned up the engine bay and am planning on just getting it on the road initially and assess it from there. I'll most likely sell it because I don't need three Spiders. It is hard to say at this point because it is one of the rare totally rust-free cars out there and is in good shape overall - no cracks in the dash - no body damage - reupholstered front seats - new console - great dash wood - etc.
- The white one in the background is under restoration. I'm doing body work, interior work, finished most of the electrical work, have the transmission out right now to install a good one, motor comes out next for all seals and gaskets and to determine if it needs an overhaul or just freshening. It will be converted to fuel injection...I have most of the parts already but need a stock exhaust manifold. I'll rebuild just about everything on it.
