trunk light bulb

does anyone know what kind of bulb fits the below trunk light assembly and where I can buy it? i also need to know how it operates. there isn't a switch. does it automatically come on when the trunk is opened? this bulb was missing from my car when i bought it. thanks.

On my 75 the, trunk lamp comes on with the parking lights.
Try it.

The trunk light goes on with the parking/headlights and is on even with the trunk closed. Not ideal but that's the way it is.

AHHH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA - The trunk light is pretty useless and, it's always on when your lights are on. Still, I too made sure mine worked. I only laugh because It took me a while and a few questions to figure it out too.

wow, what a silly setup, but how do you guys know the light is on even with the trunk closed? i only had kids so they could mow the lawn and get into small places, but even i wouldn't shut them in there.

The switch is on the dash (head light switch). There is no switch in the trunk.

csaba - i received the bulb today, but have no idea how it goes in. do you (or anyone else out there) have a picture?

It just drops in the round hole, the installing the light will keep it in place.
