Your kit comes with a replacement gasket for the.water choke. Its the round one. You might look at my 34adf rebuild thread in the performance area.
Re: 32ADFA Parts Detail and Rebuild
Sometimes I look at all this, read, look at diagrams, chase forum threads, etc. until my head hurts.
I'm a little confused. I've labelled this picture of the fuel inlets and outlets as I think I understand them. However, I can't figure out the 5th nozzle (upper left in this pic) on this 32ADFA. It doesn't even show up in Brad's fine booklet. I do know this; the thing is integral to the bowl cover assembly. The vent valve assembly fit into is. The opening that the valve sits in has a hole in the bottom that has a rod coming down out of it, the bowl vent rod. It looks to me like if any gas gets in this area it should just run down onto the manifold. But the biggest question is what hose hooks to it, and where is the other end connected?

Re: 32ADFA Parts Detail and Rebuild
I have a dilemma. The point on the needle valve shows very obvious wear. I pulled the one out of the 32ADFA kit and it doesn't look anything like this one. So I pulled one out of the other rebuild kit and it looks very similar except for one small detail. In this picture, the one in the middle is the one from the carb that needs replaced. The lower one is the one in the 32ADFA kit, and the top one is from the other kit.
I would use the top one but it does not have the holes in the sides like the original. I would use just the needle, but the point is slightly different and I'm not sure it would seat well. Still, the bottom one is totally wrong, so my next option would be to rob one out of a different carb and hope it is in better shape.
Why would the top one not have the holes in the sides? Isn't that what allows fuel to flow into the float chamber?

I thought I'd just pull the solenoid out of one of the other 32ADFAs on the table. Boy, this (to me) was a surprise.
Both are 32ADFAs but the one on the left is from a 32ADFA1 101 and the right is a 32ADFA11 102.
Obviously one can't replace the other, not only a different length but a different thread.
Anyone got a feel on why such a drastic change on what is basically the same carb?

I am not trying to be argumentative, but mine is not the same size as an O2 sensor, which I understand is 18mm x 1.5. This one is 16mm x 1.5, as is the EGR valve topside. I have pulled both and planned to plug the manifold. I had hoped to pop out the plugs on the '79 dual-plane manifold, but they simply round off with a 12mm hex. So, now the quest begins to find some nice-looking 16mm x 1.5 "countersunk pipe plug."aj81spider wrote:The last picture is the thermovalve for the EGR system (I only know that because I posted the same question earlier this year). I pulled and plugged mine. A plug that fits an O2 sensor hole will will fit.

The two rectangular paper gaskets obviously mate up to the center section of the carb. There is a spacer there. Do the gaskets go on either side of that? Or do I only need one paper gasket? Or do I even need them if replacing the spacers with the ones in the kit? Also, do you put any kind of gasket sealer/coating on any of this as it goes back together?

answered my question about where to connect the vacuum advance to the distributor.
In this view it is the nipple at 11 o'clock relative to the idle mixture screw:
