Pininfarina Radio

Yes, the original Pininfarina radio does exist! My finance found one for my birthday because he knew how badly I wanted one. I feel like Indiana Jones with an rare artifact- I'm scared to even touch it.

He painted the square buttons, the round one's are metal. The "F" badge is actually metal and not a plastic sticker like I thought. It even had the original thin layer of plastic over it for shipping. Most people would rather have a nice CD player. Nope- I want the old cheap radio that it originally came with. If anyone knows any history on these- please let me know because they did not come on all of them. It's the same radio on the 1986 Alfa's, only with an Alfa logo.

To top it off, my mechanic found a mint, still in the plastic 1985 USA Spider Pininfarina owners manual. It had been sitting in the dusty back of his shop until a client found it recently while digging through his stuff. The first thing he said was "I know someone who wants that more than anyone!"

For all of the money and heartache just to save this damn car, somehow I feel it's a twist a fate that I found all of the impossible, one in a million pieces to put it back together.

Seeing the care you put into your anniversary model, I'd say these things showed up for the perfect person.

I heard it only plays Pavoratti on the AM stations, and Andrea Bocelli on the FM. I would install it where it should go but not hooked up and install a hidden real radio that can work off of a remote. Best of both worlds

wowzers, what a find. I bet this is Christmas and your birthday wrapped up in one giant package!

i agree with pope. Put it in the console but power the speakers with a remote controlled hidden radio.
