trunk floor-my version

Post by azruss »

Here is my version of the trunk floor. wood is 1/2" ply, painted on both sides. Doing the wood this way allows the spare to be removed without disturbing the side barriers. Was a little tricky figuring how to get around the springs.

Beautiful job! Mine will have a cut out for the aluminum fuel cell to stick up in the middle. No room for a spare.. 8)

i like it... looks more convenient when it comes to getting the spare out... i hope once you shut it, you never have to open it...

Rob, I installed a 20 gal. Aluminum fuel cell and had room for the spare above it. I can post more pictures or you can look on my blog as it's all documented there. I cut most of the trunk floor out for the tank.

Nicely done but I can't do it I have dual exhaust exiting the rear. I even changed the rear suspension to three link to have enough room to exit all way out the back.
