That valance is a great idea to cover the gap when the front bumper is removed. I can't wait to see it grinded, painted, and installed.

With great results like these, I wouldn't worry about speed, Steve. Looking fantastic!

i need to get the body put back together with the body work done, with primer and rolling in the next month and a half... my lease is up, utilities in this hour is as much as the rent, so i am moving. I don't know if i'll have a garage or not when that happens....

well, another thing off the "to do" list. I got the fiberglass rockers done. they were chipped up, had way to many holes drilled in from being mounted and on both of the top corners were messed up.... i filled the holes, rebuilt the corners and sanded the hell out of them... again, anything that requires filler or glaze takes me for ever to get straight and block out. these took me three days to do...

here they are:

this is why i'm an advocate for taking it down to metal. This door looked real straight and solid, but look what i found underneath the paint:

rust bondo'd over:

bad spots cut out:

other side with bad spots cut out and blasted:

i drenched the inside of the door with ospho to take care of all the hidden rust. I'll patch it up tomorrow...

i still haven't gotten back on the doors... figured i'd take a break from body work and go through all my boxes and parts i keep tripping over. i did, however, take some time today and clean up my steering wheel. I don't even want it, but i guess i'll use it until i get some spare cash for a nice wood wheel.
