Wind Deflector Brackets are Here

Post by spidernut »

Finally, I received the custom Fiat Spider brackets I had made for the Raceland Wind Deflectors. It was a great Easter surprise! Cost will be $35 per set plus actual shipping. Photos will be available tomorrow when I can photograph them in the daylight. PM me if interested and I can send details and photos.

I test fit them to my Spider tonight and they fit perfectly. The brackets allow the seats to be slid to their rear-most position with a normal recline angle and the shoulder harness seat belts will clear the brackets if so equipped. They're powder coated black and allow for about 2" of horizontal or vertical adjustment using the Raceland factory brackets. This allows the screen to be placed at an angle that clears the convertible top and permits it to fold back even with the top up for better visibility.

Just let me know if you're interested.

I didn't expect this to happen, but I'm already sold out. For those who already messaged me prior to 6:30 a.m. PST, I have you covered and will send you the information on payment and shipping costs. They sure went fast!

If anyone else is interested, let me know and I can have the fabricators make up more sets based on the demand. They said that since they have it programmed into the laser cutters and folding machines that they can produce them quickly.

Thanks for all who replied already. I will message you tonight with the additional information.

The conversion brackets come in a set of two brackets - one for the driver's side and one for the passenger's side. Here are some photos of how they look. PM me if interested. I plan on having another run produced based on firm interest in them.

Image

Includes hardware - here they are installed.

Image

The double hinge point allows the screen to be mounted higher with the top down, or lower so it can be hinged forward or back in the flat position.

Image

The bracket clears the shoulder harness belt and parallels the rear seat side panel. The bracket requires the side panel to be installed to ensure the bracket remains in the proper position.

Image

The bracket mounts to the hinge point on the convertible top mechanism but does not interfere with top operation

Another angle of the double hinge.

Image

With the top folded down, the bracket rests between the top mechanism and the side panel. The brackets are laser cut, pre-drilled and powder coated black.

Image

The compound angles make it fit nicely.

Here's how it mounts to the top mechanism

Here's another angle of the double hinge points:

Here's the screen folded upward:

Again, PM me if you are interested. Sales price $35 plus shipping. I'll need your zip code to calculate the shipping costs.

With the top up, it should clear the top by about 1".
