I know it's long been rumored that Alfa would return. Looks like it is finally going to happen. I was able to get some information from a salesperson at our local Fiat dealer about it while my better half was looking at a 500L. What I learned was that the decision of which product line - Fiat or Maserati - would be paired with the Alfa was still being decided. The salesperson hinted that it will probably be Maserati. The information regarding the release rate of 500 intro models and a total of 1000 by the end of the year matches what the BBC's article states. By the way - the salesperson also told me that all 1000 have already been sold or have deposits put down. If Top Gear's (the UK version) review of the 4C is even half true it will be one hell of a car. What I find humorous is that a classic X1/9 and our Spiders have significantly more leg room and storage - just not the power/torque and lightweight body and chassis combo (or the fussy badge ). Would love to have a 4C - even for just a day or two.
