Charlotte, NC Area Cruise-in and Barbecue (Salisbury, NC)

Post by FiatMac »

On the 26th of April we are having a Cruise 'n Barbecue here in Salisbury. I have had my Fiat in the show the past two years, and it is by no means a show car!. My car and an MGB were the only cars that were not Detroit Iron. It would be nice to get some other Fiats there. Hope some of you in the area can come.

It is a fun event, and it is for a good cause.

The proceeds from this year's event will go to monetarily support a member of our church congregation who is battling lung cancer. This is the fourth year that we have had this event. The event will include a car show, a poker run, music, Port-a-Pit chicken barbecue, Half and Half and raffle drawings.

A flyer for the event is in this link:

Here is a link to the Facebook page for the event where you can check out some of the raffle prizes and pictures of cars at previous events:

Thanks Craig. Yes, this would be a long way for you to come! Still hoping that some of the close ones can come. Would be nice to meet some of the local Fiat drivers and have a Fiat contingent among all that Detroit Iron.

Hey Stan! Just saw this. I'm going to send an email to my NC Fiat contacts and see if we can generate interest. I will be at Fiat of the Triad in the morning but would love to come down later and check this out too. Hope to see you there.

Thanks Denise! It would be great to get some Fiat representation(both Spiders and 500s) at the event. And I would also like to meet up with some of the other Fiat enthusiasts in the area.

Custom and Classic cars are BIG in this area, and in the past we have had great turnout. Last year I believe we had 85 vehicles--Classics, Customs (both cars and trucks) and a few motorcycles. Port-A-Pit also cooks some great barbecue chicken with a big cooker on the site.

Looks like the weather will be perfect with the rain today to wash the pollen out of the air and 80 degrees and sunny tomorrow! Great top down weather!

Look forward to seeing you there!

For others in the area reading this, check out the links to the event in the first post.

Thanks!
