Help!

Post by joedaddyhenderson »

Ok, so the car starts up fine, idles good, but when the car warms up, it Boggs down when I give it gas and doesn't want to go? I don't drive it everyday, and I put gas in it for the first time, 93 octane. It's just an 82 spyder 4cyl. ANY IDEAS OR THOUGHTS ON WHAT IT MAY BE

I changed out a couple of the hoses today, which I was shocked at how dry rotted they where. put a new air filter in and made sure all hoses where good. so, it still doing it unfortunately. It runs great cold, but soon as it gets hot, Bam! starts boggin down. Spoke to a friend today, he was explaining that there are a couple of small wires inside the module that prob. have some build up which causes this flip up! Thanks for the feed back too :?

If you are sure you have no air leaks after the AFM I would check the 2 wire connection on the front of the coolant "T". That temperature sensor and connector cause all sorts of intermittent problems.

sounds like the car hasn't had any maintenance. Has the fuel filter been changed?

It could be any of these things but with any fuel injection problem it is good to start by testing the fuel pressure. You can rent a test kit at almost any parts store.
