wow...molta bella macchina

I am so very impressed at your skill and results...inspiring to say the least

my son has plans for a rear end treatment a lot like yours...

imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...though probably ours will have some subtle differences, we were inspired by Brady's rear lights (though wanted smaller), and removing lip at the back a la miscuglio...nice to see it all together

hope you don't mind sharing the size of the lights, and where you got them, and where you sourced the tube/buckets

again, it looks great

Very nice.

Also, looks like the "package" arrived. I'm happy you stayed with the project.

not too much to add. i did get the broken studs repaired that hold the upper vent on top of the heater box. both of them snapped when i was taking the car apart. I also welded it a little bracket that goes behind the dash that a few relays mounts to in earlier cars. i put that there just in case since i haven't decided which wire harness to use yet.

i also got the driver door latch location of my 1970 door relocated to match the striker in the door jamb. if you haven't seen my thread of what that's about here's a link:

that's it for now...

Juvius: I responded to your PM about the fiberglass fender earlier today. I just realized from this post that your are a good welder. That being the case, then weld in new steel fenders. Skip the fiberglass ones.

thanks bill..... i need to go the fiberglass route because that's all i have and can't really afford to buy metal ones.

Another task down.... When i noticed that the 82 body didn't have the fresh air vents like my early cars did, i cut them out of one of the cars i scrapped. Maybe crazy, but i like the feature. Anyways, i got them on today. next step is some paint, seam sealer, then finish them off with some eastwood undercoating. (in case you haven't noticed, i've saved the stuff from the various years that i like. This car will be a combinations of several years (early bumper slits, early lower front valance and a late upper grill, small bump hood, early interior and top, late body, 2ltr block, 1800 head, will be using early springs and so on... (i guess you could call it an 82 based early car...)

here's the pics:
