After over 100 cries for help, literally, today I just wanted to say thanks everybody for what is now a great running car. Just changed tranny fluid and adjusted my clutch and everything feels smooth again.
The new radiator and heater core tandem (thanks Auto Ricambi) are working great and seem to have eliminated those over heating issues, and now I have heat!
The new headlight harness (thanks IAP) in combination with a 95 amp alternator (AR) makes for headlights that feel like they are brand new- an amazing difference.
The new starter (AR) is wicked. And I mean that in a really good way.
The new carb is humming along nicely, with some initial grumpiness from the choke that needed fixing. (webber direct)
The new carpeting (mrfiat) is in and looks great. old carpet used to bunch up under the accelerator- done with that now
salvaged radio console with salvaged alpine is in and working(thanks Steve Feltner) also thanks to Steve for a functioning trunk lock that operates with a key and not a screw driver like my last one.
No more backfires or flame through the new aircleaner (thanks Marc).
There is more to do. But the list is getting shorter and the car is running better- two good things
nothing wrong today

If it was yesterday I would have thought this was an April Fool's post...

Congratulations! There's nothing more satisfying than climbing into a good running Fiat...especially one you made that way.
