Question regarding those wheels: Are they supposed to be accented in black in the middle of the spokes? I have a set of those also and mine are accented with the black paint, but it is very faded. I see lots of these wheels out there that are solid alloy color without the black.

By the way, Mike, the starter you sent me a few weeks ago works GREAT! Starting issues resolved. Now, if I can just get the thing idling correctly (I know, wrong forum).

my wheels were faded black accent too when i received them. i freshened them up with my own coat of paint.

I am glad to hear that the starter got you back up and running. I am not sorry that i could not help you swap it out however.... still glad i've not had to do that chore myself.

So, you re-painted your wheels yourself? Mine need it to. I am thinking of filing down the curb rash on two of them. What was the process for preparing them for paint and what did you use for paint? Did you paint the alloy color and the black? Of course, my car is a long way from me worrying about the way the wheels look, but someday....

i scrubbed them down with a ton-0 comet cleanser, cleaning the rubber as well. lots of water to rinse.

masking tape and regular rattle can satin black.

nope, did not touch the rest of the rim.
