Hi everyone.
Hopefully my 'new' 79 will be here in a week or so. Meanwhile I'm looking for things to swap from my 78 to the 79.
I already plan on swapping the head. The 79 already has a single plane and a DFEV. So I'm wondering about the ignition.
The 78 has one of those Crane Fireball 700's, where as the 79 has the original electronic with the vacuum advance. Which do you think I would be better off with? I'm almost leaning towards keeping it with the original. Thoughts?

Re: Which ignition?
The stock unit is superior to a converted unit and the DFEV has the port for vaccuum advance, so roll with it. If you want to get more spark put a Blaster 2 or 3 in the coil pack.
